January 14th, 2013 Helping Hands opened its doors! We began serving clients, prioritizing families, and impacting our community. We are excited to take you on our journey as we reflect back on the last ten years, as we celebrate this year, and as we look forward to what’s to come!

We are thanking God for the ways this ministry and organization has grown, and how it will continue to be utilized to help men, women, and children live an abundant life. We are thanking God for YOU.
To start, here is 10 fun facts about Helping Hands!
1. Brandy spent the first year, September 2011 to May 2012, teaching AND building the foundation of the organization, which didn’t have a name until January 2012.
2. Helping Hands has been gifted 3 ultrasound machines by a pregnancy center in Florida over the span of six years.
3. There are three offices in the Bluffton Center that have walls with glitter!
4. The work at Helping Hands is heavy; it is not uncommon to find Brandy randomly calling all staff members to the conference room for a few rounds of Dutch Blitz or Cover Your Assets.
5. Other than Brandy, the longest standing employee is Linda, who has been with Helping Hands since April 2013!
6. The first funding Helping Hands received came from Hope Missionary Church, in the amount of $3,000, in the spring of 2012.
7. Helping Hands’ first Client came before the center opened on, January 14, 2013, and requested a pregnancy test that we didn’t even have yet! So, Brandy ran to buy one at Dollar General and rushed to the center to administer it.
8. Helping Hands has been gifted 2 buildings in the past ten years, that have been remodeled into our two current centers.
9. Brandy is often known for being an established public speaker, but what most people don’t know, is that she almost failed her High School Junior English class because she was a terrible public speaker!
10. Helping Hands’ first community group, which started in April 2013 was called Birth of a Family and met every other week. Now, there are three different groups that meet on a weekly basis, and one that meets monthly.
