1I THINK I'M PREGNANT, WILL YOU HELP ME?
Yes. We provide early detection pregnancy tests, verified by an RN. If the test is positive, we can perform an ultrasound as early as 6 weeks after conception. If the result was negative, we can provide educational resources to help you make decisions for your future.
2WHY SHOULD I COME TO HELPING HANDS?
Simply put we will be nice to you! We have heard countless times that Helping Hands is one of the few places where people will be treated with kindness and respect. Our desire is to help you go where you want to go in life.
3WE LIVE IN SMALL TOWN; WILL OTHERS FIND OUT I WENT TO HELPING HANDS?​
No. All of our services and conversations with you are kept confidential. If you are a minor, we will make a plan to help you tell your parents about your visit if medically necessary.
4WHAT MAKES HELPING HANDS DIFFERENT THAN OTHER COMMUNITY RESOURCES?
Helping Hands does not receive any type of government funding and is considered a faith-based organization; therefore we can share Christ’s plan for salvation and share our faith in God when it is appropriate and accepted.
5DO YOU JUST HELP PREGNANT WOMEN?
No. We meet women and their families in a variety of pregnancy needs, materials assistance, or pregnancy test requests and use that as a start to building a relationship.
6WHAT ABOUT THE FATHERS?
We feel equally as strong about serving the fathers as we do the mothers. We a Male Client Coordinator on staff, male volunteers, and a men’s small group that meets weekly to help men where they are at in life become better men and fathers for their families.
7WHAT ABOUT ADOPTION & ABORTION?
We provide information on both adoption and abortion. We can connect women with adoption resources and organizations, as well as help them with the decision making process. We do not perform abortions or make referrals for them. We do provide education resources about abortions and the risk factors that could ensue after having one. We educate and inform women considering an abortion to help anyone struggling with this option.
8HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO UTILIZE YOUR SERVICES?
NOTHING! All of our services are free
9DO I NEED TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT BEFORE I COME IN?
You do not have to make an appointment. However, it’s always better to call so we can ensure the right person is here to assist you.
