Over the years our groups have evolved and changed, but one thing has remained the same—gathering together brings us joy!

So how did our first group begin? Helping Hands opened its doors in January 2013. Just a few months later, staff and volunteers received training from Stuart and Vickie Carver through Family God’s Way, on how to use the Birth of a Family curriculum. (How Brandy met this couple is a completely different and funny story!) The relational approach model used to implement this curriculum would use a facilitator to teach couples at all stages in their relationship. The ideology and method fit perfectly into the newly started Helping Hands’ mission and vision. Since then, Helping Hands has added three additional faith-based community groups centered around relationship building and family life.
