Women's Initiative - Weekend of February 20th
The Women Initiative brings together 200+ women for one special evening, hosted in small and intimate gatherings at separate locations throughout the weekend. Hosts may choose what day and time they'd like to host their own group, and each group watches a video of a local women's story, that may reflect the kinds of situations and circumstances of the women and families we get to serve at Helping Hands. Our hope is that this evening will inspire women to impact other women’s stories. So how can you be involved? You can host a group in your home to view the video together! We make hosting easy - everything, from the tableware, drinks, appetizers, dessert, and decor is provided for you and your group and the link to view the video will be sent to you via email.

Annual Bow Campaign - Month of April
April is child abuse awareness month, so during this month we hold our annual social media campaign - the Bow Campaign. Children's bows are numbered 1-100 and have the name of a child we serve at Helping Hands; you pick a bow, and whatever number it is you pay that amount (example: bow 40, Sydney - you pay $40). We also have $250 sparkly bows and $500 sparkly bows! In addition, throughout the month, you may see Bow yard signs circulating around the community... if it lands in your yard, it's like a game of tag! You get to "tag" the next yard!
Annual Baby Bottle Campaign - Month of September
Every year, Helping Hands holds our Annual Baby Bottle Campaign, an opportunity for people's "change" to create change right here within their local community! Churches, businesses, and individuals are all involved by filling up baby bottles with change. Churches have the opportunity to hand out small baby bottles to their congregation, businesses typically put a large baby bottle out for the community, and individuals often keep a baby bottle in their car to put their change into. At the end of the month, they are turned in. After they have all be collected, Helping Hands holds a "dumping day" and celebrates the impact of the community's efforts!

Annual Benefit Dinner and Auction - Thursday, October 9th
Join us for our biggest event of the year! We host 350+ community members for an evening that both raises awareness of the local work we are doing, as well as critical funds that provide a greater impact of service for local families. We start the evening off with appetizers and a silent auction with items donated by local businesses and individuals, move into a delicious dinner with a program that follows. During the program, you will hear from a client that has been served through Helping Hands. We finish the night off with a live auction that includes experiences, trips, and more! We also take the time to recognize our team of passionate, hardworking staff and Board of Directors. We honor our volunteers and designate the Phil Ellet Measure Up Volunteer Award to one specific individual.
